JUN 9 | PRESSFRIENDS NEW VOLUNTEER TRAINING

Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of underserved youth – and have fun at the same time?

PressFriends was founded in 2008 by local South Bay kids to make writing fun for kids. We hold afterschool newspaper clubs in higher need elementary schools during the school year, as well as annual workshops at USC and the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. We also hold a lot of summer programs at local Boys & Girls Clubs and Richstone Family Center. Our summer programs include TheatreFriends, STEMFriends, SportsFriends, ArtFriends, DanceFriends, MusicFriends, EcoFriends, MusicFriends, BookFriends, and CraftFriends.

If you are able to attend the April 20th training, you can also volunteer at PressFriends 10th Annual Conference for Elementary Student Newspapers at the Huntington Library and earn 8 service hours!

Sign up for the June 9th session at http://bit.ly/PF060919.
